I feel there are multiple factors contributing to the demise of the property. Apparently, the age predates codes standards, and disallows FHA loans on that basis. Unfortunately, the structure seems prone to mold, dampness, crumbling, and, in some locations, cockroaches. It has been determined, by several residents, The Palisades needs to install a professional management company to take matters firmly in hand, and “clean things up”. Of great concern, of course, would be the increase in maintenance fees as a result of this action, beneficial as it may be. Some of the residents have had to suffer due to the greed, thoughtlessness, and arrogance of certain owner/landlords. These people should be held accountable for their blatant disregard of the rules and laws, as regards other occupants of The Palisades. Basically, this is still a nice place to live. The location and scenery make it quite comfortable, however, it has changed noticeably over the years, and not all for the better. When there are no clear answers, rumors and suspicions abound, and people get hurt. For years, there have been issues with the staff, and there are those who are of the opinion the Board of Directors is unapproachable. Owners have every right to know exactly where their money is being spent, as well as to have their questions and concerns answered in a clear, honest, and rational manner. To the detriment of all who live here, this place has become a low-budget operation where, once, I’ve been told, The Palisades was one of the hottest properties in Knoxville. All residents have a right to know that the rules and regulations will be enforced and upheld with regard to everyone equally, not just selectively for some, but exempting others, thereby showing favoritism and causing resentment and ill will among others. For decent square footage, in a nice part of town, at a fairly decent price, this is not a bad place to call home. That was my experience when I moved to The Palisades.

After seeing this pic, It’s very bad , Something should be done everyday to keep it looking nice. I have my place for sale and i am thinking about buying a condo, down the hill ,But after looking at this pic, I need to think this over, Joey

I’ve lived here for 28 years, the sound of children playing is joyful! I do however object to the car that has been parked in back of my unit for over a year, and has not moved. It’s a Mercedes…with a cover on it…
